Why Get Ready I have heard people say that they are not ready to get saved, they are not ready to meet the Lord, how foolish, and what a waste of time. You do not get good to get God; you get God to get good. You can’t save yourself from hell. Nether can you forgive yourself from sin. You need a Saviour for that. And that saviour is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can save you. In John 5:24 says { I tell you the truth, whoever hears My Word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned, he has crossed over from death to life}. You are controlled by one side or the other, the light side or the dark side, by the Holy Spirit, or by the lies of the devil. If you listen to the devil’s lies you will never ever be ready to get saved and go to Heaven. The devil may tell you that you are not good enough for God or you have done too much wrong for God to forgive you, or you can’t be a good enough Christian to walk the walk. These are all lies of the devil. Once you have invited Jesus into your heart, nothing and I mean nothing is impossible for you. Because, with God all things are possible .You have been given power to walk on the devil. You have a choice to make don’t choose to stay in spiritual darkness. God wants you to be with him and walk in the light. He will keep you safe from the devil. God says to you in Deuteronomy 30:19 This day I call Heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live. None of us can make it without the Lord. My prayer for you will be this, do not delay, you never know if you will be here tomorrow. May the Lord open the eyes of your understanding today! Hebrews 3:6-11 (How to reach God's land of rest this is why the Holy Spirit says: If only you would listen to Him today! Do not harden your hearts, as at the rebellion, as at the time of testing in the desert, when your ancestors challenged Me, and put Me to the test, and saw what I could do for forty years. That was why that generation sickened Me and I said, "Always fickle hearts, which cannot grasp My ways!" And then in My anger I swore that they would never enter my place of rest.) And they never did, enter His rest only two were able to go to the promise land. Do you want to be left behind like the foolish virgins? This is what the Bible has to say in Matthew 25:1-13 "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom, five of them were wise, and five were foolish. "Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, "but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. (Meaning they had the Holy Spirit) "But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.”And at midnight a cry was heard: `Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!' "Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps, and the foolish said to the wise, `Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' (Most of the church is asleep today) "But the wise answered, saying, no lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.' "And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. (Onece the door shuts there is no hope for you.) "Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, `Lord, Lord, open to us!' "But he answered and said, `Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.' "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. It doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor!
