Tapping into God’s power to The first thing that we must realize is that Jesus is the source of eternal salvation. {Hebrews 5:9} And that he is the source of life. {John 6:63} Then Jesus said, all authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me. {Matthew 28:18} Jesus is all powerful. He is the almighty himself. This is proven in Revelation 1:7-8 Look , he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. It would appear that Jesus is calling himself the Almighty. Both God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are all one. Now that we have established that, lets move on. Many Christians are living defeated lives because they have not yet discovered how to tap into God’s power. The first thing is to make sure that Jesus lives inside of you because he is the source of your power. You have to have a love for the Christian brothers. You have to feel exceedingly glad when you see some one getting saved. These are all signs that Jesus is in you. This was a command from Jesus himself. He said for us to Love one another. {John 13:34} next, have faith in him that he can do what he says, because without faith no one can please God. { James 1:6 } says But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord. So trust in him, and do not doubt. Then ask God to show you any area of your life that has sin, ask God to forgive you and to take it away from you so that you will not offend him. God hates sin, God cannot bless you if you have sin in your life. Now we are getting closer. Next ask God to empower you with the Holy Spirit so you can fight against sin and stand up to the devil, because you can’t do it on your own. Then live holy with out spot or blemish. The way you do this is to ask Jesus to forgive you when you sin throughout the day, And when you go to bed at night, and when you wake up in the morning. This way you stay perfect before God, you are blameless in his sight, because Jesus has taken away your sin. Then wait on God. If you are living like this, sooner or later you will start receiving God’s Blessings upon your life. At this point you can ask anything in the name of Jesus as long as it is in the will of God. And Jesus said I will do it for you. God wants to bless you but sin stops him. He can’t bless sin. The will of God is that no one should perish but would have eternal life though his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. |
