ISRAEL Why Should Christians Support Israel My Wife and I strongly support Israel and the Jews. The reason is because they are the true branches and we are only grafted in. Paul says in Romans 12:17, {If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this, you do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in. Granted, but they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.} God told Jacob in Genesis 48:4, {I am going to make you fruitful and will increase your numbers. I will make you a community of peoples, and I will give this land as an everlasting possession to your descendants after you.} And in Exodus 32:13 God said to Moses {I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.} Israel is where God Almighty will place His throne. Jesus says in Matthew 5:34 that Jerusalem is the city of the great King. In Genesis 27:29 when Isaac Blessed Jacob who would later become Israel, He said {May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed.} In John 4:22 Yeshua said to the Samaritan woman who was not a Jew, that Jews are where salvation comes from. Jerusalem is the very place where Yeshua was crucified and where He ascended into heaven. It is the city of God, the Holy City. If you hate, or don’t like, the Jews then you are definitely not saved. The Bible is a Jewish book, all the prophets were Jews and the Lord Jesus Himself was a Jew. The Jews are God’s People and He says about them in the book of Zechariah 2:8 {for whoever touches you touches the apple of His eye}. Do not mess with Gods chosen people, for the day you do Gods wrath will fall upon you. As to whom the land belongs to, there is no question that it belongs to the Jews; not because I said so but God the Creator of all things says, {In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will bring them down to the valley, of Jehoshaphat} The word Jehoshaphat means ‘The Lord judges.’ In verse two it said, {I will gather all nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will judge them! Concerning my inheritance my people Israel, for they have scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.} This has already happened. God alone was the one who brought His people back from all the nations that He scattered because they did not know the time of their visitation when God was among them. If they recognized Him they should call Him Immanuel, meaning ‘God with us.’ In Isaiah 53 It goes on to say, {who has believed our report or message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He (meaning Yeshua) grew up before him like a tender shoot and like a root out of dry ground.} Who is God talking about? It has to be Yeshua for only he will fit this revelation. Only he was able to fulfill all prophecy spoken about him. When the false messiah comes to the scene, his miracles will be counterfeit and Israel will believe him for a little while until he demands for the Jews to stop the worship. The Bible says he will put up an image that can speak and say to all who is there worshiping that they must bow down and worship the Antichrist. The Jews will not bow down to an image, or any body who is not God himself. Then after this, all hell will break loose. Isaiah 40:18 {To whom, then, will you compare God? What image will you compare him to?} All of the Arab nations will never be able to wipe Israel off the map. If you do not believe this then read Psalms 83. {They will become like refuse on the ground}, which in short means fertilizer. This war between Israel and the Arabs is not about land, but about God. They want their god to reign supreme in Jerusalem. No matter how many bombs or how many threats they throw at Israel, Israel will win in the end. The real creator: God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Jehovah God, is on their side.But before Israel wins this last war the Bible says that half of Jerusalem will be taken captive by the Arab Nations and the Russians. Then God will intervene to save them. I pity the fool who dares to come against Israel. To fight her is to fight against Jehovah God. Will America be judged at Jerusalem? The Bible teaches that all who come to the Land of Jehoshaphat will be destroyed. We would be included because we have also drawn a road map to peace and divided their land. Notice that when we were talking to Israel about dividing their land God hit us with Katrina. Then we talked some more, God hit us with Rita. Then Spain also talked about dividing Israel and God hit them with the terrorist attack in Madrid. The same conversations were going on in England and they were attacked as well. So when will we learn from our mistakes? Only when God himself comes down to tell us {this far you may come and no farther, here is where your proud waves halt.} Read Job 38:11 {why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his anointed one. The one and only one Yeshua! The one enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.} Psalms 2 {Oh Jerusalem, how often will I gather you like a hen gathers her chicks but you wouldn’t let me.} These are the words of your Messiah, your King. I have this burning love for Israel and I know it is not I who wills it, but Christ in me. Some day not too far into the future, I will live in Jerusalem with all my brothers, Jews and gentile alike.
